In Collaboration with
Department of Geography,
Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Vivekananda Vidyabhavan
Date: 2nd Sept- 8th Sept, 2020
Online Platform: Google Meet
Concepts of the Workshop:
Learning Content Management System (LCMS) is a web-based platform that manifests the online face of our educational institution. It will enable us to create a virtual campus where our students can learn, communicate, socialise, sit assessments and access administrative services. The present workshop will inculcate the opportunity of LCMS, its application as well as hands on training of a world class LCMS “Moodle”.
In this LCMS teachers will be able to access everything they need just from this one piece of software, and as it’s cloud based they’ll be able to do this from anywhere in their institution or even from home. Teachers will be able to access resource templates, make their own e-content, or even upload existing e-content, in whatever format it exists in. It will also enable us to keep track of each teacher’s content development contributions. It will allow us to monitor across the classes from assessment results and training exercises to student dropout rates and teachers evaluations.
On the other hand, the way students are choosing to access education is changing. No longer are potential learners limiting their choice of course to what is offered at their own institution. Instead, these learners can access online courses from anywhere in the world with help of this LCMS.
It will also be immensely beneficial for the head of the departments or head of the institutions and staff members who will be able to easily manage administrative tasks, keeping attendance of both teachers & students, conducting teaching & learning processes and evaluation smoothly all from this one central hub.
